August 2026 brought updates across CoinAPI, FinFeedAPI, and the APIBricks platform, from new market coverage to faster data processing, improved historical access, and more reliable market data ingestion.
Prediction Markets API expanded to four additional venues, while CoinAPI received improvements across Kraken, Coincheck, Hyperliquid, Gemini, Binance Options, and Lighter. We also introduced index data through Flat Files and improved MCP compatibility, pagination, and platform performance.
Here’s what changed.
Market Data Performance and Coverage Improvements
Several CoinAPI Market Data API integrations received updates during August.
Kraken WebSocket processing was improved by separating message receiving from processing and parallelizing workloads by symbol. This reduces growing differences between time_exchange and time_coinapi when processing higher data loads.
For Coincheck, market discovery now uses live WebSocket data instead of a hardcoded REST pair list. Newly listed and previously missing markets can therefore be discovered without relying on a static list.
We also added LIGHTERRH, covering Lighter on Robinhood Chain, including spot RWA tokens quoted in USDG and stock perpetuals quoted in USD.
Other reliability improvements included updates to Gemini's WebSocket integration, Binance Options trades and order book processing, Lighter symbol mapping, and DEXTRADE trade pricing.
Better Hyperliquid L4 Order Book Handling
CoinAPI's Market Data WebSocket DS API now recognizes additional HYPERLIQUIDL4 order statuses, including scheduledCancel.
Previously ignored status values could leave stale orders in the local book and, in some cases, result in crossed books. Mapping these statuses allows cancelled or changed orders to be handled correctly as the book is updated.
This improves the consistency of reconstructed Hyperliquid L4 order book data.
Prediction Markets Coverage and Historical Data
August also brought a significant expansion of the Prediction Markets API.
Coverage was added for:
- Gemini Predictions (
GEMINIPM) — REST market discovery and live WebSocket market data. - Pascal (
PASCAL) — REST discovery, resolution polling, and live WebSocket books and trades. - Crypto.com Predictions (
CRYPTOCOMPM) — event and contract metadata with per-contract prices. - ForecastEx (
FORECASTEX) — symbol discovery, trades, and OHLCV sourced from ForecastEx daily files.
Alongside the new integrations, we improved how prediction-market history and market states are handled.
Historical flat-file reads now filter and parse only rows for the requested symbol, while /v1/markets/{exchange_id}/history pagination performs better when accessing deeper pages.
Closed and resolved markets also continue receiving metadata updates, helping keep status and settlement information current. For Kalshi specifically, settlement and finalization detection was expanded to handle statuses such as finalized and determined.
Polymarket ingestion was also hardened to improve processing of CLOB archive data.
CoinAPI Index Data Now Available Through Flat Files
CoinAPI Flat Files now serve the coinapi-indexes bucket, making calculated index value files available through bulk historical data access.
We also simplified index file object keys by removing character escaping, making paths cleaner and more predictable when accessing files programmatically.
This gives teams another way to work with CoinAPI index history alongside API-based access.
Faster Stock API Symbol Discovery
FinFeedAPI's Stock API received a pagination performance improvement for:
/v1/symbols/{exchange_id}
Large exchange listings and deeper page jumps can now be retrieved more efficiently without the progressive slowdown previously seen on later pages.
This is particularly useful for applications that regularly discover or synchronize large sets of supported securities.
MCP and Platform Improvements
The shared MCP server stack was upgraded to support clients using modern server/discover requests, improving compatibility with newer MCP clients.
We also made several platform-level improvements during August. Console loading performance was improved, auto-recharge handling was fixed so failed draft invoices do not block later payment attempts, and organization creation now validates the required authenticated email claim.
Pricing terminology was also updated from GB/MB to GiB/MiB, aligning displayed usage and Flat Files pricing with binary byte sizes.
More Coverage, Better Data Processing
The August updates focused on both sides of the APIBricks platform: expanding what data is available and improving how existing data is discovered, processed, and delivered.
From new prediction-market venues and CoinAPI index Flat Files to faster Kraken processing, Stock API pagination, MCP compatibility, and order book fixes, these changes are designed to make data access more reliable as datasets and integrations grow.
